Purchsing Senior Citizen Bus ticket

On July 22, 2013, we were told we could go to the Days Inn Motel in Elkhart, IN to purchase the Senior Citizen ticket needed to travel to Omaha, NE on the 7:30pm bus. We called before going and was told we could get the ticket there. So.....we went to the Days Inn and the manager told my husband, he didn't sell SENIOR CITIZEN GREYHOUSE BUS TICKETS, only regular tickets and we would have to go to South Bend, IN to purchase one. And....he was only doing Greyhound Bus a favor by selling the regular tickets. My question is why the refusal to issue Senior Citizen Tickets?????
